Nevada Donor Network was proud to sponsor NASCAR Nationwide driver Joey Gase during the Sam’s Town 300 March 9 in Las Vegas. Joey was just 18 years old when he lost his mother to a brain aneurysm. The oldest of her children, Joey was faced with the responsibility of deciding whether to donate her organs and tissues. Now every time he races, he chooses to honor other heroes who have given the same lifesaving gift. During the race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Joey honored three Las Vegas organ donors by displaying their photos and the Donate Life message on his car.

Nevada Donor Network was proud to help honor Brandon Ochrach, Lexi Scanlin and Joshua Gilbreath, whose organs and tissues saved the lives of many people. Joey learned firsthand how this difficult decision can make a lasting impact on others and has since made it his mission to raise awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. The Donate Life Nevada logo was prominently featured on the hood of the car, both rear quarter panels and on the back of the car. Also included was the sample of the state’s Organ Donor license plate. You can view more photos of the car here on Facebook.
